When I was searching for happiness I was able to develop my persona into someone I didn’t mind being.
I now am happier with who I am.

Nine Self-Improvement Tips to Become A Better Person
1. Be Willing to Change
Change is the only way to grow. Keep an open mind. You also need to be willing to change.
Now be cautious. You cannot change others. They have to be the ones making changes.
2. Stop Making Excuses
When I was younger I would make excuses when things went wrong. I think most of us have from time to time.
I would never take the blame either for anything either.
Now, I take accountability for my mistakes and I have stopped making excuses. I will take the blame for what is truly my fault. And I have learned I was able to achieve much more when I did. When mistakes are made, I turn them into lessons.
Many people fail to understand why they make a mistake and are doomed to then repeat it, since they do not understand why to happened. That is why it is important to take accountability and not blame others.
3. Stop Being Angry
Rage and anger alter your decision-making skills.
Controlling anger is a difficult task to master but beneficial if you can learn.
Staying angry does not solve any problems. It only creates more.
You can find an article on Anger Types – What is Your Default and How To Cope here. Also, you might try a stress ball, meditation, relaxing, and/or other methods. Find one that works for you.
4. Be a Role Model
Once you become a role model to someone you really get your act together.
You can become a mentor, parent, teacher, aunt, coach, volunteer, etc. There are many ways one can be a role model.
5. Forgive Someone
Forgiving someone is a difficult thing to do. But when you can do it, good things start to happen.
I read this quote in another group the other day.
“When you forgive you help yourself, not the person you are forgiving.”
Change your mindset and think of it this way
6. Listen to People
“Knowledge speaks while wisdom listens”

Our society is so busy people really have time to listen to what others have to say.
Take time to develop connections and listen to others. You may be surprised by what you will learn.
7. Be Honest
Honest people are hard to come by but they are out there.
Honesty is the best remedy for any situation.
Challenge yourself to be honest not only with others but yourself.
8. Do Something You Don’t Want to Do
Again, keep an open mind to things you wouldn’t normally do. This is a way to challenge yourself. You only live once!
We’ve talked about fear/anxiety and I will revisit again.
When you do things you are afraid of, they will soon get easier. If you refrain, you will never know what you are missing out on.
9. Surprise Someone
Do you have a loved one in your life? Certainly, you do. Is it a neighbor, family member, friend, etc.?
Do something special for them. Buy them a gift. Stop by for a chat. Help them do some chores. Maybe you can take a walk. Whatever it is, just do something nice out of the norm.
To conclude: If you are not taking action to turn your life now, chances are you will live in the same routine. It will be like the movie “Groundhog Day.”
So ask yourself, are you ready to change for the better?
