How To Prioritize The Important Things in Life and Still Have Time

Not enough hours in the day to do what you need to do? How do you prioritize your life?

When you wake up you check your emails, check FB to see what everyone is doing…oh and you have to place some selfies on IG. Don’t forget about binge-watching that Netflix show. And you almost forgot you have the 9-5thing called a job to do.

So where do you see those things that are important to you? Such as family, friends, exercise, hobbies, sleep, self-love, etc…where do they fit in?

Watch this video to find out how to prioritize the important things first, and the rest will fall into place! 😊 It can be found on my Facebook Group page. If you would like to join the group, please click the link facebook.com/groups/thinkmefirst.

The not so important things:

  • Emails
  • Social Media
  • TV
  • Work (to a degree, maybe I should say overwork?)

Prioritize the important things:

  • Family
  • Love
  • Self-Love
  • Friends
  • Exercise
  • Learning
  • Anything else you find important to you

Some tips to prioritizing life:

Focus on one thing at a time.

Make sure you are fully focused on those important things. Enjoy what is happening and take it all in. Remember, it’s the quality of time, not the quantity of time.

You simply appreciate the moments and feel gratitude, seeking nothing else, nothing more.  That is what true happiness is all about.

Leave the past behind and focus on the present.

Sometimes we spend too much time focusing on the past. Focus on the present and be aware of each moment. This too will also increase your productivity,

Find time for yourself to relax, rest, and recharge.

First and foremost, be flexible with yourself. Don’t overlook yourself. It only leads to feelings of being overwhelmed. And guess what, you waste time when you are overwhelmed because you dwell on it.

Don’t skip those things that help you see the big picture.  Also, give yourself time after those activities to figure out how you’re going to translate your insights into specific plans and actions.

If you’re struggling with prioritizing the important over the urgent, don’t be too hard on yourself. The number of decisions we face in modern life is overwhelming.

Focus on what is important, not what you find urgent! And remember, Think Me First!
